About Essence of Africa
Essence of Africa is a meetings-based forum connecting pre-qualified international buyers with African tourism businesses, curated by On Show Solutions and ATTA Group Events. It is hosted in a different African region each year, and the 2026 edition runs from 20 to 22 October at Diamonds Bijoux in Bwejuu, Zanzibar. Exhibitors include accommodation, DMCs, tour operators, experience providers, tourism boards and transport companies. Buyers are chosen by a selection committee and meet exhibitors in pre-scheduled appointments, with familiarisation trips on offer. The 2025 edition in Malindi drew 158 buyers from 39 countries.
